ANNOTATIONS

1. ALES score type has to be from the quantitative field.

2. ALES-GRE (old/new) conversion chart should be checked from fbe.metu.edu.tr web address.

3. Two reference letters must be uploaded (at least one from academic sources).

4. For the master of science applications the statement of purpose and research area proposal must be submitted as a single document file (in English maximum of 1000 words in total). The statement of purpose should describe the applicant's background, qualifications, plans for graduate study, academic and career goals.

The essay should clarify the applicant's interest in the field(s) of study and the reasons for applying to the program. The research areas of the program and the program staff members must be examined before applying. The document which is composed of a single PDF document should not exceed 3 pages and 5MB.

5. For PhD applications a research proposal essay and CV must be submitted as a single document file. The research areas of the program and the program staff members must be examined before applying and the potential research topic and scope should be identified. The research proposal document is a comprehensive essay that frames an argument with relevant literature and methods. The essay must analyze the gaps within the literature and must clearly iterate the aim and objectives of the intended research with a logical outline and cited references (in English language between 2500-3000 words in total). The essay should be followed by a CV, which is expected to contain academic, professional and personal work, including student projects, activities, trainings, and creative work. For teamworks, names of participants and the applicant's responsibility must be identified. The essay and CV document which is composed of a single PDF document should not exceed 10 pages and 10MB.

6. Interviews are held in English.

7. For Ph.D. candidates, both undergraduate and graduate transcripts are required.
