* During the application, upload the photocopy (or internet printout) of the English proficiency result document to the relevant place in the online application form.

* International students whose mother tongue or official language is English and who have graduated from a university that provides education in English, can mark the "I am a native Speaker" section. Candidates who do not meet these two conditions are required to submit a result document in English.

* METU- EPE : The necessary information about the exam can be found at http://oidb.metu.edu.tr/en/application-process . The IYS exam is held during the graduate application period; Exam results are announced before the application period ends. IYS-Erasmus and IYS-Mevlana exams are not valid.

*Grades in English proficiency exams are valid for two years. Language documents older than two years are not accepted at the time of application to the program. The document that is valid at the application stage to the programs is also considered valid at the registration stage.

*The English Proficiency certificate is valid for two years. For this reason, attention should be paid to the validity of the exam result documents as of the application date. However, an English Proficiency Certificate is not required for those who have been a graduate student at METU for at least one semester in the last four semesters (including the application period) and have been re-admitted to the same or another graduate program, provided that they meet the English proficiency requirement of the program to which they have been admitted. However, the candidate has to present the English Proficiency Document used in the admission to the previous program during the application to the new program.
